La pagode
de Chanteloup

Seven stories high, Chanteloup Pagoda is an astonishing chinoiserie style edifice built in 1775 by Choiseul that offers one of the most amazing natural scenes of the Loire Valley.

Admire the stunning view over the 14 hectare park, where age-old trees spread far off into the Amboise forest. The seven pathways which converge on the Pagoda create the shape of a delicat fan. This oriental architecture, so close to the Loire river, lends a magical charm to the environment

Located on the highest point of the Chanteloup plateau, the Pagoda is reflected in the water of the majestic three hectare pool shaped as a half-moon. Boarded by a long canal and lined by plane-trees, the lawn emphasizes the harmonious curve of the landscape.
